Crystal (sister in law) turned sweet 16 on July 16th! I was so excited to be home
and help plan her party. She invited 5 friends along with family members inviting themselves to go to Lava Hot Springs (including myself). Again, I wish I would have taken pictures.

The pools at Lava are naturally warm and so much fun. Obviously this picture doesn't do the water park much justice. The day we were there, there were sooooo many people! They have added an awesome water slide that give massive wedgies! We spent most of the day at the water park, but Crystal her friends and I did attempt to "float" down the rocky (lava rock) filled river! We suffered from many bumps, bruises, welts and scrapes, but I think everyone thought it was well worth it. Usually a person would use a tube to go down the river...but we did it without tubes. Don't know if it was smart, but it was sure fun!

We spent the night camping at the Portneuf camp ground which was right next to the railroad tracks. We probably had 10 trains go past during the night, and each time the train went by it tooted its horn and the ground shook. It made for a long night. Luckily it didn't rain.
I was so impressed that Chelsey (sister in law) camped by herself in a tent with her two kids (Boston and Jeter). She reported later that she didn't sleep very well because she was so worried that someone was going to come in her tent in the middle of the night. Steven (brother in law) drove the motor home and brought his wife (Kelly) and their two kids (Logan and Annalynn).
The rest of us (8 all together) squished into a large tent! It was so much fun! I was so surprised that the girls went to bed so quickly I thought we would be the one's up annoying others around us, but to my surprise it was the people that were next to us that were noisy all night.

It was really pretty where we camped though and looked something like this!
